TAPA will hold auditions for Neil Simon’s romantic comedy THE STAR-SPANGLED GIRL later this month. Set in the 1970s, THE STAR-SPANGLED GIRL tells the story of two struggling writers who are trying to keep their underground political protest newspaper afloat. While trying to expose government conspiracies and wrongdoings, they meet an all-American girl who has just moved into their building. Love and politics dance together in this clever and witty play written by one of America’s most well-known and best-loved playwrights.

Announcing TAPA’s next production!

Honey Raye, Twink, Frankie and Rhonda Lynn are back and funnier than ever in this hilarious sequel to 2009’s Christmas Belles. The small town of Fayro, Texas is in danger of going under due to the rendering plant closing unless the Futrelle sisters can hastily throw together a huge festival to impress a visiting VIP. But a loathsome relative, an old beauty pageant rivalry, and the unexpected demise of a guest are only a few of the obstacles the women face in pulling off
“Fayro Days.” This is a true Southern-fried farce!

Directed by Becki Wilhelm, show dates are April 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 15, and 16, with a Champagne Gala on opening night. Reserved seats are available from Diamond Art Jewelers; call 503-842-7940.

Y’all come see it now, ya hear?
