The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is excited to announce the cast for the upcoming comedy, Rumors. Written by Neil Simon and directed by Kelli McMellon, Rumors is set in a New York townhouse, where the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Audition Announcement: Nothing Serious





Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is pleased to announce open auditions for the ensemble comedy Nothing Serious written by Rich Orloff, and directed by Rikki Reid. 

Nothing Serious is a collection of Orloff’s most popular 10-minute comedies. From Antarctica and Disneyland, to the Garden of Eden and inside the womb, Rich Orloff creates theatrical worlds that are both imaginative and hilarious.

TAPA is looking for up to ten men and ten women, ages 10 to 80 years old to complete the ensemble cast of various roles. No previous experience is necessary.

Auditions will be held at Oregon Coast Dance Center located at 106 Main Ave in Tillamook, on Saturday December 19th and Sunday December 20th starting at 3pm.  

Performances will run from March 11th-27th.

Dames at Sea Opens Oct 16th

Open Auditions For TAPA’s Rumors




Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is delighted to announce open auditions for the hilarious hit comedy Rumors. Written by Neil Simon, Rumors is set in a New York townhouse, where the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Auditions will be held at Oregon Coast Dance Center on Saturday October 17th starting at 2:30 pm, and October 18th starting at 5:30 pm. Oregon Coast Dance Center is located at 106 Main Ave in Tillamook.

Annual Meeting to be held Oct 4th

TAPA will be holding our annual member meeting at The Barn Community Playhouse, located at 12th & Ivy in Tillamook, October 4th starting at 3:00 pm. Food and beverages will be provided.

This is a chance for you to meet the TAPA Board, find out what’s been accomplished in the past year, and what the goals for the upcoming year are. There are four board positions up for election/re-election as well. Only current members may be nominated and vote, however the annual meeting is also a good time to register as a TAPA member.

No one person or group can do it alone and we encourage everyone to work together to accomplish TAPA’s mission statement, which is to “provide a high quality experience in the performing arts through entertainment, education and community participation”.  Join us for the meeting, have some food and stimulating conversation.

Now accepting registrations for Starlite Children's Academy

TAPA is pleased to announce that we are now accepting registration forms for the Starlite Children's Academy. This week-long theater camp will be directed by Brenna Sage, renowned vocalist and music director, and will run July 6th - July 10th, with shows on July 11th at 7:00 pm and 12th at 2:00 pm.

Students in the camp will attend a variety of theater classes and work on producing and directing their own show! Cost is $25/student and registrations are due July 7th.  Look for forms coming home from school, or you may download the form here: 2015 Starlite Academy Reg Form

Opening May 22nd at The Barn Community Playhouse, The Orphans is a touching and funny play. After tragedy strikes the family of two young girls, they seclude themselves in a hotel room. Lily and Catherine Spangler have lived in near isolation in the once grand Chalfont Hotel for the past 25 years. Although the hotel and its guests have steadily declined in stature over this time. Mr. Ervin, who has handled the sisters’ affairs for years, comes to visit and warns of a claim to their family

Auditions will be held at Tillamook Methodist Church Saturday April 25th and Sunday April 26th starting promptly at 2:00 pm. Tillamook Methodist Church is located at 3808 12th St in Tillamook.

TAPA is looking to fill the following roles for this production:
  • Three women’s roles: age mid-20s to mid-50s
  • Four men’s roles: age mid-20s to mid-50s

Brenna Sage to perform - one night only!



 
The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is pleased to showcase vocalist, pianist, storyteller, and impressionist Brenna Sage, in her show, I’ve Got The Music In Me. Held April 10th at 7:00 pm, Brenna will take you on a wacky musical memoir through the 60’s and 70’s.

Dead Ringer Opens March 20th!




Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) and Cyndi Lewis of Rob Trost Real Estate are excited for the opening of Dead Ringer, written by Gino DiIorio and directed by Robert Buckingham.
Opening March 20th, Dead Ringer is a dark comedy set in an abstract Wild West. This wickedly twisted curiosity of a play was a winner in the 2005 BBC International Playwriting Contest.  

The play centers around Tyrus Cole, a horse trainer, who lives on a ranch with his invalid sister, Mary. Because he can’t watch her during the day, Tyrus confines Mary to a root cellar.
