Dick and Lucky sing about wishing there were dames on the ship |
The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA),
along with sponsors Krazy Kat Publishing LLC, Dance Zone, and Stratos Wealth
Partners, present the musical Dames at
Sea, opening October 16th!
Dames at Sea is a
tap-happy, Navy-crazy celebration of the 30’s movie musicals, with a heart as
big as the ocean! A naïve understudy
must step in to fill the shoes of an incapacitated diva and become the star of
the show. With a good dose of the “let’s
put on a show” exuberance from the films of Judy
Garland and Mickey Rooney, coupled with elaborate musical numbers from the Busby Berkeley movie musical extravaganzas, Dames at Sea manages with just a small cast to provide plenty of fun, high energy musical moments, and a boatload of laughs.
