"Dear Santa" Opens Dec 2nd

A portion of the 22 member "Dear Santa" cast take a picture with Director Ann Harper (back row middle)

Composed of a number of short scenes, “Dear Santa” ranges from the hilarious to touching. Written by Rob Frankel, and directed by Ann Harper, this production shows Santa from various viewpoints - from a child who alphabetizes her Christmas list and sends it out in August, to children at various stages of belief...and disbelief! Santa and his helpers shed light on many of the mysteries surrounding him, including why you don't always get the gift you ask for, how Santa delivers all those gifts in one night, how he finds children spending Christmas away from home, and how his power transcends the boundaries of race, gender and religion. "Lulu's Back In Town" opens Oct 7th

TAPA presents Lulu's Back in Town, a musical revue that pays tribute to those crazy ladies (the Lulu’s we all love) who have inspired song after song since the 1920's. Ladies such as Miss Otis of Miss Otis Regrets, Delta Dawn, and Edie Bouvier Beale from Grey Gardens to name a few. Jazz classics like Twisted are on the menu, and the show also features songs that have been reinterpreted to take on a new (dare we say) hysterical, meaning. Did you ever think that the Partridge Family's I Think I Love You would be interpreted from the perspective of a stalker? Accompanied by Kathy Gervasi on the piano, TAPA veterans Brenna Sage, Margaret Page, Julie Bucknam, Steele Fleisher and Carina Grossman will be featured in this hilarious revue.

Lulu’s Back in Town opens October 7th at 7:00 pm.  Additional performances will be held October 8th, 14th, & 15th, all starting at 7:00 pm. Performances are held at the Barn Community Playhouse located at 1204 Ivy Ave in Tillamook and the doors open 30 mins prior to curtain.

Join us for our Opening Night Gala where each ticket purchase includes one free beverage of choice and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are on sale now at Diamond Art Jewelers in Tillamook, (503-842-7940) and can also be purchased at the door.  Adults tickets cost $15, children 12 years and under are $10, and a family of four are $40.

Auditions: The Octette Bridge Club

Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) has announced open auditions for the sentimental comedy, “The Octette Bridge Club”, written by P.J. Barry, and directed by Brenna Sage. Set in Providence, R.I., the time is 1934, and Betsy is the youngest of eight grown sisters. All but one of them has a family of her own, but every other Friday night, the Donavan girls play bridge.
They don't just play bridge. In 1934 (Act I), they have their picture taken by a nice young man from the Providence Journal. In 1944 (Act II), they put on a little talent show for Halloween. As we all know, siblings can have personalities that run the gamut and this family is no exception.
Ten years have brought changes. Betsy has had a nervous breakdown--which nobody wants to discuss except Betsy. Martha, the oldest, can't hear half of what's going on, making it harder to intimidate the others. Mary, the shy one, has had a stroke. This is a charming play with roles for a variety of actresses.

TAPA is looking for eight (8) women, ranging in age from 30's to 60's, and one (1) young man (who only appears in the first scene) to fill the roles of this production. No previous acting experience is necessary! One of the sisters, Lil, the second to youngest must play piano and sing well, and at least one of the other sisters must play piano to accompany Lil on one song.
Auditions will be held at the TAPA’s Barn Community Playhouse, located at 1204 Ivy Ave in Tillamook, on Saturday June 4th and Sunday June 5th, starting at 2:00 pm.
Performances will run August 26th – September 10th.

Auditions packets are available at here: The Octette Bridge Club Audition Packet
or by e-mailing TAPA at info@tillamooktheater.com.
